about

This song is like a poison apple, looks great on the outside, but once you bite in....

Ok someone is about to get unfun and personal in this very uber fun sounding composition :)

Lyrical Insight!
(Cue lighting for dramatic effect)

For anyone who has grown up in an abusive environment, you know of the stifling fear, the shame and reclusive behavior that acts as a breeding ground for monsters. It shapes you for life and not always in good ways. The lucky or perhaps the strong will learn to cope and eventually come out shining, though to be honest, 47 years old and I still struggle with self worth/esteem. It's not all the time, it's not everyday, but still often enough to admire the fearless and unscathed.

The music in this song is very infectious and totally upbeat, while the lyrical content is dark and very real... fitting I suppose that music acts as the smile that hides the pain. This is a plea or a questioning from son to mother as to why we are we staying in this complete hell. I will never let someone elses darkness smother my light again. My hatred for this person and those like him will never die, and I'm OK with that. - Rock

lyrics

Violence Inspired
(R. Johnson/T. Chesal/J. Chesal)

Walking Disaster
Break it all down
Watching us crumble
Without any sound
Violence inspired
Behavior has spread
With venomous lies
In everything said

What I have not figured out is
Why we're all scared
What I have not figured out is
Why you're still here

What did I say
What did I do
What can I say to get through
What did I say
What did I do
When I find myself thinking bout me and you

Talking thereafter
Bring it all out
Living life's stumbles
Resolving self doubt

What I have not figured out is
Why we're all scared
What I have not figured out is
Why you're still here

What did I say
What did I do
What can I say to get through
What did I say
What did I do
When I find myself thinking bout me and you

Solo

Violence retired
Just memories in my head
Clear sky came
With everything bled

What I have not figured out is
Why we're all scared
What I have not figured out is
Why you're still here

What did I say
What did I do
What can I say to get through
What did I say
What did I do
When I find myself thinking bout me and you
